George Schram and Vern Heimlich are co-leaders of the group having taken over in the '90's. Heimlich is the lead trumpet player and owner of the Heimlich Garage in Waldo, while Schram is the lead trombonist and music teacher and musical pit director in Marion for the past 45 years. A flavorful group, the ptBB consists of 11 gifted musicians with multiple decades of experience among them. This group promotes a love for the sounds of the "stuck in the forties--big band--swing era." The Town of Marion was founded in 1852 and is located in Plymouth County in Southeastern Massachusetts.

The Town was originally named Sippican which was an Indian tribe that once lived there. Instead of keeping the name they chose to change it to Marion in honor of General Francis Marion who was the Revolutionary War hero from South Carolina.

For historical points of interest visit the Marion Arts Center and Natural History Museum among a few others. Residents of the town have stated that Marion has a rare natural beauty and charm.
